Frequently Asked Questions

Why is photography and wedding photography so expensive?

Great question. A lot more goes into capturing an image than just "clicking a button." While some may say, “I can buy a nice camera for that cost!” the reality is will they know how to use it properly to capture lasting images, and will they have the additional equipment, licensing, insurance and software to create those images?  The answer is: most likely not.

Professional photographers like myself serve as more than just photographers. We serve as stylists helping style gorgeous images, bringing custom-made velvet ring boxes and silk ribbons for your ring shots to show off that lovely sparkler of yours. We are planners, creating wedding day timelines and shot lists to help you organize your day as smoothly as we can. We are wardrobe assistants helping you bustle that dress and style the train so it looks on-point in photos. We are location scouts, helping find the unique spots to take breathtaking images. And we are your professional bffs to help you stay calm, smile, and enjoy your amazing day!

Do you shoot Indian / Persian / Jewish / Catholic / Christian / Gay / Non-Religious weddings?

Yes, I do! It is my pleasure to capture your wedding celebration of any faith, non-faith, or orientation.

How much is the wedding deposit? When will the remainder of the wedding balance be due?

Wedding deposits are 20% of your total wedding package price and are due with a week of signing your wedding contract. The remainder of your wedding balance will not be due until the day of the wedding.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Venmo, cash, and good old-school checks.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes I do! If your venue requires proof of insurance, I am happy to provide it to them. Just let me know.

What should I wear to my shoot?!

My number one answer for this is to wear something you feel most comfortable and confident in! Whether you want to dress up or down for your session, wear something that you feel your best in. If you have a hard time deciding, you can’t really go wrong with wearing neutral colors, nice solids, or simple prints.

A tip for ladies getting their engagement photos done: Try scheduling your wedding hair and makeup trial for the day of your engagement session. You’ll be all glammed up and not have to worry about doing it yourself.

Can my dog be in my shoot?

YES YES YES!!! Please bring all the fur babies! Let us know ahead of time so we can go over animal-friendly locations.

How soon before I receive my online gallery?

Wedding galleries will be delivered between 4-6 weeks after the shoot date, with a small sneak peek gallery available 1 week after the wedding. Portraiture galleries will typically be delivered 1-2 weeks after the shoot date.
